Welcome to the OpenSIPStack Project!

OpenSIPStack is an ongoing attempt to provide software developers a platform agnostic stack implementation of RFC 3261.  Currently, OpenSIPStack can be compiled in Linux, Solaris, BSD, Darwin and Windows.  It boasts of an event driven architecture which makes the library ideal for use in a high volume deployment.  The project was founded by Joegen E. Baclor on January of 2005.

Cores

The following cores have been implemented in the library:

User-Agent -  The User-Agent core is a complete implementation of A SIP User-Agent and RTP support.  G.711 uLaw & ALaw, GSM full rate (06.10), LPC-10, Speex, iLBC G.729, and G.723.1 are currently implemented.  Video support is planned.
B2BUA - Things such as topology hiding and media anchoring is difficult to implement using a proxy.  The B2BUA core makes these tasks possible.  OpenSBC is an application that relies heavily on the B2BUA core.
3PCC - An implementation of Third Party Call Control with media anchoring support.
Proxy - A fully compliant proxy core as described in RFC 3261.
Registrar - This core implements SIP Registrar functionalities.

Applications

OpenSBC - A fully featured session border controller implementation
ATLSIP - ActiveX Control SIP User-Agent with audio functionality
OSSPhone - A fully featured SIP User-Agent with audio functionality
